Fertility counseling

Third-party fertility is a complex process, and we want to make sure that every Tulip member begins their egg donor search feeling prepared. That includes feeling mentally and emotionally prepared for the egg donation process. Fertility struggles can affect individuals and couples mentally, physically, financially, and more. We want to ensure that you have the resources you need to feel confident and excited about building your family, and specialized fertility therapy can be a great tool to get there. We firmly believe that specialized fertility counseling can be a valuable part of any couple’s fertility journey.

Often, your fertility clinic will recommend specialized fertility counseling. Some hopeful parents may be uncomfortable with this idea, but your fertility team truly wants you to be fully prepared and supported while you pursue egg donation. The intent of specialized fertility therapy is to support you, provide you with resources, and advocate for the child you will have through egg donation.

Fertility counseling can help you process difficult feelings like grief, anger, and loneliness during or after a hard fertility journey. Infertility takes a physical toll and is a mental stressor, and no one deserves to carry that burden alone. A fertility counselor will help you process your feelings and ensure you are stepping into the next phase of your journey feeling prepared.

Many specialized fertility therapists also work with donor conceived people and have extensive experience helping parents through the unique experiences of raising a donor-conceived child. A fertility therapist can help you prepare for conversations with your child so they feel supported and celebrated. Fertility counseling can help to ensure your family is healthy, connected and happy.

Therapy is becoming more and more common for people of all ages and situations, and we greatly appreciate the therapists who help people through infertility, fertility treatments, donor conception, and parenting.
